SONG OF THE WEEK

This week's song is by one of the most talented musicians out there. I've written about him before and I'll write about him again I'm sure. I'm talking about Will Hoge. I truly believe that it's people like Will Hoge that are the future of the music industry. Will was in a very serious accident not long ago, but he's mending and back playing music. He's done some limited touring and is putting the finishing touches on a new album that will hopefully be out soon. This is a live version of "Ain't No Sunshine."

You know I love it when you write about Will Hoge! Got a chance to see him in May, and am seriously considering road tripping to see him in Nashville - he's playing every Wednesday night at 12th & Porter in Nashville in June! Can't wait for the new album and more tour dates!

Real sweet interpretation of one of my favorite songs.

Some tasty guitar licks in there also.

Amy, How was he when you saw him in May? Is he recovering well? I've given some thought to trying to get up and see him in Nashville too, just not sure about it yet.

Vinnie, you should check out more by Will Hoge. He is really that good, he's one of my favorite performers and if you ever get a chance to see him live take it. He puts on one of the best live shows ever.

John - he sounded strong, looked great. It was a seated show, all the guys were sitting, but the crowd was not, which allowed for a more talkative crowd. But it was great to see Will back on stage.

Here's a good article about his recovery and the first Nashville show:

Also, you might already be following along, but he's been blogging the whole process of getting back in the studio after the accident and working on the finishing the new album. It's pretty interesting to read about the process.
