THIS WEEK:

PHILIP MASORTI

and the band

HERO JR

Sit On The Couch

Philip Masorti

By day Philip Masorti is a trial attorney.

By night he and his band, The Herd, entertain the masses in the Central Pennsylvania area.
Masorti has said, “There is no doubt that the practice influences the song.  I hate to admit it but there are times when strong feelings seep into my music, particularly when a legal matter gets so ingrained that I cannot separate myself from it.”
With the release of his second album,Another Year, Masorti is beginning to build a loyal following.  Philip will sit with me and discuss his career both on and off the stage and where he has his career aimed at this time.  We will also listen to cuts from Another Year.

Hero Jr

Hero Jr comes to us from our friend Krista (who also brought us the band Steepwater).

The band is Evan Haughey - singer/songwriter/performer, Dave DuBrava - percussionist/bassist/songwriter and Matthew Haughey - percussionist/bassist/songwriter , and they hail from the Indianapolis area.
The band plays high energy rock and roll and we will chat with them about their careers to this point, what is next for the band and we also get to listen to tracks from the self-titled debut album.

Artist
Spotlight

Dusty & RoboDrum areEverett DutschkeBrooke Doyle and Allen Doyle and they are coming to a town near you soon.

With a summer full of dates at Six Flags around the mid-west and east.  This summer Dusty and the RoboDrum have performed at the
MTV partner OurStage Artist Access performance, the Central Florida Music Festival, Six Flags Chicago, the Staples Center and will be playing at the Clinton Music Festivalin New York this month.

Dusty sat with me last September and since then he is a constant in the chat room during the shows.  He and I have a little contest where he identifies the guitars played on the music during the show and even through the computer, Dusty has a 90% or better success rate!

They recently met with A&R reps from Sony Records, obviously a result of their having TWO songs on the latest Gods Of Indie Guitar release and the fans they win over everywhere they go.

Check out this band that combines traditional blues with a contemporary feel.
