1. For many artists, they cite a defining moment for themselves when they knew they wanted to be a singer. For many it was the appearance of Elvis on the Ed Sullivan show, to another generation it was the Beatles’ appearance on Sullivan half a decade later. Is there such a defining moment for you?
Great question! Of course, I am only speaking as the assistant to the guy that discovered the tapes that had these songs on them. But, if I were to put myself in the place of the guys on these tapes, I'd say that sometime after failing 9th grade algebra for the third time, and after being ignored by every girl at the graduation dance (because were all fixated on the guys in the band) they decided to stop dancing with each other (awkward), and start a band.
2. When you’re not creating music what are you listening to? Who are some of your favorites?
Usually the voices in my head. My favorite is "Phil”. He's a stockbroker from Cheboygan, who likes to eat the rind off of German cheeses, while watching reruns of "Dynasty" with the sound turned down.
3. What would you say is your greatest moment so far as an artist, either on record or live?
Well off the record, our greatest moment on record, AND live, was when we auditioned for the 2nd season of American Idol, as a duo called "I'm With Stupid". We sang Innagaddadavida in its entirety, accompanied by xylophone and marimba, while wearing Hula skirts, Mickey Mouse ears and boxing gloves. The audience went C-R-A-Z-Y. Simon was not amused.

4. Do you believe music can change the world or is just something to listen to? How much can music influence current events?
Yes of course music can change the world. You didn't think that failing 9th grade algebra three times was a mistake did you? Music can be inspiring and thought provoking. It can empower. It can make you fall in love, and mend a broken heart. It's a joyful noise, both primitive and sublime. It can cause a revolution or make you yearn for peace. It can reflect the present times or recall the past. It can make people believe in God, themselves, and mankind. Hmmmm...On second thought, maybe it is just something to listen to.
5. How has technology affected the music industry? How has technology affected your career as a musician?
Music industry? Career?
