Come Sit On The Couch With Musicians You Should Know THIS WEEK: THE STRATA-TONES and SUE PALMER SIT ON THE COUCH PLUS Blues 411.com Report with Chefjimi Patricola THE STRATA-TONES The Strata-Tones are; Vocals; Valerie Johnson, Guitar's and Vocals; Bruce Krupnik, Harmonica and Vocals; Kevin McCracken, Keyboards; Ken Burton, Fender Bass; Will Anderson; Drums; Rick Pittman. This is The Strata-tones. Down in the alley Rhythm & Blues. Take no prisoners. No one gets out without feeling the groove. Their album, Dressed Up To Fess Up is chock full of wonderful music and powerhouse vocals. I will sit with the band and discuss their history and where they are headed while we listen to cuts from the album. SUE PALMER Sue Palmer came to us through Ms. Wendy DeWitt, who graced The Couch back in April. Sue, like Wendy, is a serious Boogie-Woogie Piana player with a ton of chops. She is the recipient of the 2010 San Diego Music Awards "Best Album" honors. Having spent the 90's with Candye Kane, she has been making her mark in the last decade with her high energy band, the Motel Swing Orchestra, and her flashy boogie woogie stylings. Sue will spend time and we will discuss her life and career while checking out tunes from the album After Hours.
