1. For many artists, they cite a defining moment for themselves when they knew they wanted to be a singer. For many it was the appearance of Elvis on the Ed Sullivan show, to another generation it was the Beatles’ appearance on Sullivan half a decade later. Is there such a defining moment for you?
To be honest i started singing about 2 years ago out of frustration - I was sick of the way people sounded on my instrumentals. In the least cockiest way EVER! They weren't really matching up to my beats and what I envisioned for them... so one day I literally said, "Let me try this whole artist thing out... it kinda worked?" Haha.
2. When you’re not creating music what are you listening to? Who are some of your favorites?
I'm obsessed with Andre 3000 and Kanye West. They are true artists and are a JOY to listen to .... really amazing dudes.... I listen to A TON of music but those are my two favorites.
3. What would you say is your greatest moment so far as an artist, either on record or live?
3. What would you say is your greatest moment so far as an artist, either on record or live?
Every day is my greatest moment.... I'm in love with what I do and am SOOO blessed to do it for a living.... accomplishments are just cherries on top of this rad music sundae!
4. Do you believe music can change the world or is just something to listen to? How much can music influence current events?
4. Do you believe music can change the world or is just something to listen to? How much can music influence current events?
In my opinion, music is the closest thing we have to God. You can feel certain records in your soul and you get this weird feeling when a certain record drops? That's not normal. Music has capabilities of changing lives and the world. It's changing the world every day!
5. How has technology affected the music industry? How has technology affected your career as a musician?
I'm making in depth records from my room in my home. That says it all. I'm recording instrument players where I sleep? Sometimes even 3 piece bands. Technology gave kids like me a chance to create and express ourselves WAY more easily. I wait on no one anymore to create. It's almost like a 3 million dollar studio is more and more obsolete everyday.
6. Now for my Barbara Walters question: If you were a pair of shoes what type of shoes would you be?
HAHA! Barbara Walters is the master of ridiculous questions ....UMMMM a sweet pair of PF FLYERS! A classic! Yet still prevalent and stylish!
