Jango fans have compared the band to Jeff Beck, the Rolling Stones and the Allman Brothers. Alfords Band of Bullwinkles are pushing Aussie Country ‘n’ Aussie Rock together, creating their own distinctive Australian Country Rock sound. "We got sick of hearing the same over produced sugar pop shit on the radio; we wanted to hear good pounding country rock, songs that tell stories and songs that mean something. A CD you want to leave in the car ‘n’ crank up loud; we wanted something new we could sing and yell to, so we made it ourselves" Matt Alford, lead singer. The guitar is sweet, the vocals grind and the banjo hops along. The album is diverse and individual, and the best bit is that it's independent. It's a monster! Garrrrr With the right amount of exposure and support, the three Bully's hope to bring solid country back to the car stereo. After all, with over 100 original songs, they definitely have the catalogue for it! They are currently recording their second album in Asia, bringing in influences and talent from the region.
