Biography: RIVERSYDE is an alternative rock band based out of Austin, Texas that got its start in the fall of 2010. The four member band is made up of lead singer Shane Blake, drummer Mark Griffor, lead guitarist Paul Devassy, and bassist Jake Vollette. Press Release: RIVERSYDE Hopes to Acquire Airtime with Debut EP AUSTIN, Texas, Jul. 21, 2011 – Alternative rock band RIVERSYDE released their debut self-titled EP on Apr. 15, 2011 from Stinson Studios in hopes of spreading their single, “Knocking on My Door” across the airwaves. RIVERSYDE’s four song EP has been popular with a diverse fan base, but has been especially popular with females ages 18 to 25, according to ReverbNation. This is the alternative rock band’s first release after being together for seven months. “Asylum”, the band’s first album, is scheduled to be released in Nov. of this year. In addition to their work in the studio, RIVERSYDE finished fifth out of 300 contestants in the national TRCOA battle of the bands competition on May 5, 2011. Their work outside the studio also secured radio play of “Knocking on My Door” on UK’s “Off the Chart Radio” on June 18, 2011. RIVERSYDE peaked at third on ReverbNation’s Austin alternative chart in July 2011, and their debut EP was selected to be played on grooveshark.com in the same month.
