Come Sit On The Couch With
Musicians You Should Know

THIS WEEK:

Nick Black & Johnny Childs

Sit On The Couch
All about the guitars!

Nick Black

Nick Black is a young talent out of Memphis, TN, whose music is classified as Neo-Soul.
His vocal range is sensational and he brings a power and energy to his music.
Recently, Nick has been touring with Couch favorite Victor Wainwright showing he can also play the blues.
On his latest release The Soul Diaries Volume 2, Nick's modern soul voice, folded into his soulful string and horn arrangements, adding an infusion of hip-hop and blues, and you have a sound that helps his music to stand out.
Nick will sit with us and discuss his career so far, his recent selection by Wainwright to join his touring band and what can be expected in the future from this star about to break out, while we catch music from his album.

Johnny Childs

Then Johnny Childs takes his seat on The Couch.

Childs is not only a musician he is the President of the New York Blues Society and a film-maker.

When Childs is not doing the above, he leads the drive on Facebook for anInternational Blues Music Day.

His album Groove was produced by 2011 Hall of Famer and Grammy winning producer Bruce Bromberg and is a collection of hot blues guitar driven songs.

We will talk with Johnny about his career , his movie Junkman's Son, which has already won the North Country Film Festival's Best Documentary award and has been nominated for a Blues Music Award and where he is heading with this multi-disciplined career.

Of course we will listen to tunes fromGroove.
