Come Sit On The Couch With
Musicians You Should Know

THIS WEEK:

Suzanne & Gerald from F&G Band

and

Anni Piper

Sit On The Couch

Suzanne Forschino & Sly Geralds
from F&G Band

The tandem of Suzanne Foschino andSly Geralds are the creators of the F&G Band featuring Edlene Hart.

They put the band together and write all the music for this band that captures your musical ear with a combination of blues, funk, soul and R&B.

Sly plays bass for the band and Suzanne's husband, Tom is the drummer. As far as Ms. Hart, she is two-time Winner of Harlem’s famous Apollo Talent Contest and has toured the world, performed for Cardinal O'Connor, Tony Bennett, Isaac Hayes and more.

Their album Grease Up Yo' Strutt' is receiving airplay around the globe. It is a collection of soulful tunes and great music and Suzanne & Sly will join me to discuss how the project came together and their songwriting philosophy.

Anni Piper

Then Annie Piper takes her turn on The Couch all the way from Australia.

Anni became a devoted musician when she was given her first bass at age 14. She quickly discovered an affinity with the instrument.

After two Australian releases, she has her second US release, Chasin' Tail, a collection of hot blues music.

Her honors have included
nominations as a top five finalist in the 2010 Musicoz Awards in the Blues/Roots category, and a finalist in the 2009 APRA Professional Development Awards. Anni was also a finalist for ‘Best Female Vocal’ at the 2008 Australian Blues Music (Chain) Awards and received a nomination for the ‘Rudy Brandsma’ award at the 2007 Australian National Songwriting Contest.

I get to speak with Anni about her journey and we all get to listen to her most excellent album.
