| Biography: The August Infinity is an American five-piece rock band based in Brooklyn, NY. The genesis of The August Infinity came when drummer Ian Pierce unearthed raw charisma in the most unexpected of places, discovering singer Joshua Hawksley at the 42nd street subway stop. It was there that Joshua first made an impression on New York City as a one-man subway performer. The band has since honed a catchy hard rock sound playing off the added talents of bassist Chris Moss and guitarists Peter Strzelecki and Frank Grullon. The August Infinity has toured extensively throughout the Northeast, with gigs ranging from headlining performances at New York City's Highline Ballroom, Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theater, to multiple shows and in-house promotions at Best Buy, Hot Topic and Six Flags, including an invitation to headline the 19th annual Fright Fest Halloween Party at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. The band has also shared the stage with a number of national acts including the platinum selling band Hawthorne Heights; they have also have been invited to perform on Fox's Fearless Music. The August Infinity's self-produced debut album Voices of a Generation received radio play on Sirius XM's most listened to active rock station Octane courtesy of an impressed DJ Kayla Riley. The band recently wrapped up production on their folow up EP To Whom It May Concern expected in the Spring of 2011. Having been self produced by the band in their Brooklyn loft, the new EP further explores the band's signature blend of hard rock and pop. The August Infinity has performed with : Red, Hawthorne Heights, Madina Lake, Atomic Tom, Salt N Pepa, and many more. |
