Release: As I write this review, I am listening to Crawley's latest release , High and Low, over on their Reverb Nation page. I receive about 50 requests a day for bands planning a Milwaukee tour stop. Crawley and I hooked up about six months ago, and I kept telling the band, hailing from Kentucky...your review is coming...it's coming. Well, I sure and heck have been missing out and wish I had researched Crawley at first request. Tonight when I pressed "play" on the track "Maybe" , I was drawn into my own experiences of heartache, pain, and the feeling we all have when the show must go on. Crawley had me hitting repeat and following the lyrics to the super radio wave rock ballot "Maybe" , and going on down the line of the playlist from the newly released LP "High and Low." I was really drawn in with the title track "HIGH and LOW." I am most impressed with Crawley's ability to stir up emotions while allowing the listener a sense of hope...that this too shall pass. Crawley is really in a rock realm of their own. Bordering on hard rock, metal, alternative, southern rock and metal. That is a tall order for all the listed genres to be covered by one band needless to say on one LP. I am waiting for my signed copy. I am going to be playing HIGH and Low , really loud the day I receive it. Not once, not twice, but like my Cheap Trick and Kid Rock LP'S, I will be cranking High and Low, by Crawley for a lifetime. Reviewed by Kellie Levans (kidkel69) Milwaukee rock music examiner |
