Come Sit On The Couch With Musicians You Should Know THIS WEEK: Sista Monica Parker Kenny Lee Lewis and Danika Holmes Sit On The Couch Sista Monica Parker Sista Monica was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. At the age of 7, she began putting down her gospel roots, singing and touring with her Great Band Missionary Baptist church gospel choir. She has been singing ever since. Gospel, R&B, Soul and the Blues...Sista Monica can shine in each genre. She recently released her 11th album,Living In The Danger Zone, a sizzling collection of contemporary blues, soul and R&B which has earned her a 2012 Blues Music Award nomination for "Best Soul Blues Female Artist". I will sit with Sista Monica and talk about her life, her music and what the future holds for this powerhouse vocalist. Kenny Lee Lewis Then Kenny Lee Lewis joins me. Kenny is a regular touring member, producer and writer for The Steve Miller Band since 1982. An accomplished studio guitarist and bassist for over 30 years, a few of Kenny's other credits include Bonnie Raitt, Eddie Money, Dave Mason, Billy Preston, Peter Frampton, Boz Scaggs, Brian Wilson, and Steve Stills. Kenny has a new album out with his side-project, The Barfly Bluez Band, entitled Two Ton Kitty.  The album is something special and I know you will enjoy hearing what Kenny Lee is up to. I am excited to explore this great musician's life and share his new music with y'all.
