Description: Operatic rock/metal with catchy melodies, flavoured with some delicate pop elements, storytelling lyrics and big vocal lines. The long-awaited debut of the austrian Rock Opera Singer out now!
Biography: „What a musical melange - Melodic Rock Pop Opera made in Austria!“ (Peter S., journalist).

Sonja Perenda is an operatic rock singer from Austria and entered the show biz more than 10 years ago. It all started with a spontaneous performance in Vienna at the early age of 14 – and her ever-burning passion for performing was born.

After focusing on a classical vocal training first, she soon discovered how releasing and inspiring it is to mix up classical vocal technique with rock and contemporary singing styles. Always having been a rocker at heart, with time Sonja Perenda's music got more and more influenced by all our rock and metal legends. Nowadays, her music is best described as operatic rock/metal with catchy melodies, flavoured with some delicate pop elements and - always - lyrics that actually have something to say. Still every song is an artwork itself, variety within the "overall idea" is guaranteed.

Until today, Sonja Perenda had the chance to tour through Europe and the Middle East, playing shows in places like Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon or Kosovo. She has been performing in front of the UN-soldiers at the camps in Kosovo and Syria as well as playing at major festivals in Austria and Germany.

„Artist & Lawyer?“

Besides her musical activities, Sonja Perenda also finished Law school because her heart was always beating for the people on the shadow side of life. With her vision of a peaceful world full of mutual respect and tolerance, Sonja started her special charity concerts at the age of 16: Shows in front of the homeless people and in jails all over Austria and Germany. She says: “Thanks to my second profession I definitely know that there is no clear border between 'good and evil'. No black and white here, but a million shades of grey. In this spirit: Let's rock the jail!!”
