In 1994, it was time to move once again, but this time her journey took her to Music City USA..Nashville, TN….There she started working at Opryland USA, where her career continued to blossom and grow. It was also there that her secondary career of being a lighting designer and programmer was born. Susan left Nashville in 1996 to perform with country music legend Lee Greenwood in his theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN. She was singing backup for Lee, as well as dancing, and also had a feature spot in the show. In 1999, she rejoined Louise Mandrell as her lighting director in and continued to pursue her music and recording on the side.

Susan’s most recent accomplishments include being an instant success in Singapore, where she became a very popular local icon, with people coming from all over just to see the little red headed country girl from Tennessee sing..She has also become quite the regular on a local Knoxville, TN TV show called the Ciderville Home Show. Her plan this year is to tour small towns in the U.S. and Asia, where she hopes to continue to capture the hearts of audiences world wide.

Susan has had several singles on the CASHBOX TOP 100, along with listings on a number of other independent regional charts, as well as winning several FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR awards in a few independent markets. Susan has been writing songs since her early teen years. He music comes from the heart,. Inspired by legends such as Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and Reba McEntire, her styles tend to lean towards more traditional country and Texas swing. However, she does have a variety of styles influenced by a more bluesy, contemporary edge..Her music truly touches the hearts and emotions of anyone who is listening.

Being true to the Gemini description, this 5’2” red headed, blue eyed songstress has another side to her as well. Susan’s love for entertainment combined with her natural technical curiosity led her to learn more about the “other side” of show production. She graduated from Full Sail University” where she learned the technical side of the business. This education opened doors to an alternate career path that has led her to be a successful lighting designer/director/programmer, touring with various major artists such as Louise Mandrell, Ringo Starr, John Berry, Hank Willliams Jr, and many others, as well as working on numerous television shows, (Stellar Awards, Dove Awards, Trumpet Awards, etc) theme parks, (Disney, Dollywood, Sea World, etc),ships and concerts. This little gal has made a mark in a male industry, making her name very well known in the lighting field. Her self penned “Whole Hog Quick Reference Guide” has become an industry standard globally in teaching console programming. Her musical background allows her to naturally “feel” the music, therefore making people “see” the music. She always says it is like performing, just from the other side.

Though she has a passion for lighting, the music is still in her blood and will never die out. Her dream is to take her experiences from the past 21 years and express them to you in her music. We hope you enjoy!
