What would happen if the rhythmic flair of Apostle of Hustle joined the melodic firmness of the Tragically Hip?

Snailhouse (Michael Feuerstack) Announces 'A Sentimental Companion'
To celebrate the anniversary of his latest album, Feuerstack has released A Sentimental Companion - a collection of 5 demos and b-sides from the sessions leading up to the recording of Sentimental Gentleman.
Snailhouse is the brainchild of Montreal based artist Michael Feuerstack. The songs are timeless; instantly true and recognizable before they’ve even hit the chorus.  Snailhouse is the kind of artist that is always subtle, complex and beautifully memorable, matching clever wit with soulful delivery.
Over the course of six albums and two EPs, Snailhouse has earned a very loyal following around the world and featured contributors as diverse and renowned as Julie Doiron, Dave Draves, Angela Desveaux, members of Arcade Fire, Wintersleep, Bell Orchestre, Maritime and The Acorn – to name a few.  His latest full-length, Sentimental Gentleman, was released on May 24th 2011 in Canada through Forward Music and White Whale Records.  As with Snailhouse’s last record Lies on the Prize, Jeremy Gara (of Arcade Fire) takes a mixing and co-production role.  Lies on the Prize was widely acclaimed (including a Polaris nomination) for its panoramic and literate musicality.  Feuerstack was also a founding member of art-rock band Wooden Stars, who were awarded a Juno for best alternative album for their collaboration with Julie Doiron, titled Julie Doiron and the Wooden Stars. Mike also plays in Bell Orchestre (Juno winners, Polaris nominees) and with Angela Desveaux.
"Mike’s a treasure that has been overlooked by too many for too long.” – Herohill
“It’s terribly refreshing to hear a band that doesn’t rush their sound….Sentimental Gentleman is the sound of a band that is not only fully realized, but not afraid of hiding the ebb and flow which they have clearly worked hard to discover. A great, hearty listen.” – Skope
“Sentimental Gentleman is an amazing album. Feuerstack is one of those guys who doesn’t ape other artists or try to fit into specific genres…he’s just creating music his own way…Easily destined to be one of the best releases of 2011. Highly recommended. TOP PICK.” – Babysue
“What would happen if the rhythmic flair of Apostle of Hustle joined the melodic firmness of the Tragically Hip? We can only dream, just as Montreal’s Mike Feuerstack does on a tightly shuffling track that is nothing like sleepy.” – Globe and Mail
