BERNIE PEARL
Then
Bernie Pearl takes a seat.
Suggested by Joe Whitmer at The Blues Foundation I found Bernie's music irresistible.
Bernie learned his upbeat, finger-poppin' picking style at the elbows of bluesmasters like Sam 'Lightnin' Hopkins, Mance Lipscomb and Mississippi Fred MacDowell.
A life-long blues evangelist, Bernie began broadcasting
Nothin' But the Blues on KPPC FM in 1968, making him L.A.'s first all-blues FM disc jockey.
I am excited to sit with Bernie to discuss this incredible career as we check out tunes from his album
Old School Blues, a 2 album set with one electric and one acoustic.
